A big congratulations to the athletes and parents for braving the rain and cold today. These are the moments as a coach that I look forward to seeing how the kids respond. I saw a lot of strong character and toughness exhibited today, so well done. It was also such a treat to have Coach Rupp out there today. Meant a lot to everybody. The kids sure showed out for him, fun to watch.

Moving forward I ask you parents to continue encouraging your kids to keep dressing warm, and to be prepared for the elements both at practice and races. We are so close to the end. Lets finish strong.

Lastly, there will be a lot of soaked racing and training shoes. In my experience stuffing newspaper into the shoes helps them dry much more quickly, and even gets some of that bad smell out. Take it or leave it.
