Prep for Fridays Triathalon

Posted by Cathedral Cross Country 2019 at Aug 22, 2018 12:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Hello,
Parents and athletes this is a reminder to start preparing for Fridays triathlon. Athletes if you would like to participate here is a list of a few items you will need to bring.
What to bring:
*Water shoes, or an old pair of shoes. (For the swimming portion)
*Life Jacket (If you have extra; it would be helpful if we could put them to use for those who don’t own one)
*Bike
*Bike helmet
*Towel

That covers the necessary equipment. A snack is not a bad idea for after. I hope this is helpful to start prepping for Friday. Have a nice day.

Bridge Run Tomorrow 8/23

Posted by Cathedral Cross Country 2019 at Aug 22, 2018 11:59AM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Tomorrow will be our first competitive (AND festive) event of the season. Five teams (Red, Green, Blue, Gold, & Black), each a mix of grades and ability levels, have been formed and will compete against each other in an exciting and fun event in which EVERY runner scores. The 7th and 8th graders run a shorter distance than the older runners, but they use the same finish line. This makes the younger runners key players in the competition. The race will begin at approximately 8:30 AM at Hester Park.* Runners should meet at the North gym at 7:30*. A large group of parents and alumni will be on hand. *If you are able, it will be fun to watch! * The finish line is at Rau field. Watermelon & water will be provided to runners after the race.

Here is the updated Milaca Early Bird race schedule. Hope this helpful to those able to attend.

The document NEWMilaca_Early_Bird_Cross_Country_Invitational__3_.pdf was attached to this post.

As many of you know, Cade Anderson will be leaving later this week to begin the process to have his bone marrow transplant. As a send off, we will be having a team pizza party (runners and coaches). Gina Halstrom has graciously offered to host it at her house from 5:30- 7:30. If it is more convenient for you, older runners can take the younger runners home when the party is done.
